Junior: 110 cm Diameter. Ages 5-12.
Senior: 130 cm Diameter. Ages +10.

Made from Heavy duty 600 denier PVC.
All Seams are bound and double sewn.
Heavy duty inner tube.
Hidden valve system for completely safe use.

How do I inflate my Tackle Tube?

The best way to inflate your Tackle Tube is with an air compressor.

Please don't try to pump it with a hand pump, it won't inflate and you will damage the valve.

What kind of air compressor?

Gas station tyre pumps work really well.
Air Compressors above 2HP also work well.
Smaller compressors or electric pumps (e.g 1/5 HP 12v) are not recommended, you risk damaging your electric pump.

---

The cover in my Tackle Tube is too loose?

Is the cover on your tackle tube too loose or the inner tube appears to be too small? Don't worry,

These tubes can take a lot more air than it looks like, if the cover is too loose you should keep pumping. Optimal shape should be loose enough that you can pinch it with your fingertips, but not too loose that you can grab it with your whole palm.

---

IMPORTANT NOTE: Tackle Tubes don't have an exact PSI number, as the tube inflates it expands and there's no way of accurately measuring the air, refer to the question above to know when it has been correctly pumped up.

This has been an absolute hit

This has been an absolute hit. Our son is super fast, but slight in his build so has been catching up to opposition players .. then applying the brakes. We can already see his confidence and technique improving. It will be interesting to see if we see a change on game day!

Great tool for home

Great for practice at home for my son

Essential to practice dynamic tackling

Most of the tackle exercises in the coaching manuals assume a static target. Then you get to matches, the target is almost always evading the tackle, and half the kids can't figure out what to do.

Rugby is all about involving all types, but even at U9 level, the way we are taught to coach tackling ends up relying on natural skills in a match situation. That lets down both the natural kids who do their job and then see their teammates letting attackers through, and their less naturally skilled teammates, who lose confidence and motivation when they repeatedly find tackling much more difficult than in training.

Tackle rings are the best way for kids to get used to hitting a moving target in relative comfort, to develop the memory muscle to repeat it in game conditions. They're also quick to pick up and go again with the next player, to keep players busy, focused and warm. And they encourage aiming low, because the landing is much more comfortable than a high hit, and really the only way you can get a good wrap.

These tackle rings seem good quality and value. My kids were hitting them with confidence and came out of the tackles smiling, with a nice squidgy ring underneath them.
